The Personal Connection of a Library
I need my library because I need to connect with people on a personal level. I often check in at my library because I have known my librarians for a while now. There’s a big difference between asking a professional a line of questions to find certain material and just looking up the information online. I often find that my librarians help me to shape my search and my ideas in ways that surprise me. I believe that technology is moving so fast that a vacuum is being created, a hole in our personal relationships and the way that we process information. I feel as though the core of technology is selling something or making something less work while at the core of a library is pure information and learning.
