Community

For me, it’s all about the Community the library creates and holds together. From Story time with my kids, movie nights, free computer use, teen nights, to the book sales - the library is a safe, caring place full of love of learning that needs constant nurturing in all of our lives.

I have so many fond library memories growing up and now I’m experiencing them all again with my own children. I watched my 4 year old daughter’s face light up when she realized she can finally get her own library card, I heard her say every morning during the Summer Reading Program, “Mommy, I filled my reading list, let’s go get more books!” and I followed her around while she showed her little brother and sister the library and explained to them how “gentle” we are with books.

This is why I need my library - and my children do too.
